Doors allows passage into a home as well as ventalation. Closing of the door provides security and privacy. Doors are constructed of wood and reeds.

Doors allows passage into a home as well as ventalation. Closing of the door provides security and privacy.

Doors, when closed, needs to be secured in place.
Every door was different, whether it be what it is construced of, to the frame, to the wall it was on.
Wood planks are the typical material though many doors were constructed of reeds.
Functions of
Wood doors have a very basick wood frame and some reed doors hasve a frame constructed of bundles of reeds.
Reed doors were secured in different ways; a pole resting on the door. a wood peg in embedded in the verandah and poles tied to the door.
