Wood planks are the typical material though many doors were constructed of reeds.

Wood doors have a very basick wood frame and some reed doors hasve a frame constructed of bundles of reeds.

Reed doors were secured in different ways; a pole resting on the door. a wood peg in embedded in the verandah and poles tied to the door.
